The following letters were written by Francis Irvine of Sydney to his father Alexander Irvine in Drum, near Aberdeen, Scotland: 1. 1820 Sept. 5, attacking the policy of Governor Macquarie and describing life in Sydney (4 ff.); 2. 1820 Nov. 1, giving news of his family and describing his prospects (3 ff.); 3. 1821 Mar. 20 giving further news of life in Australia (1 f.).
